Hydroxyapatite
A graft material that can be used for bone regeneration or for soft tissue augmentation. It can be supplied as a solid graft material or as a paste. It is usually not seen in quantity in bony specimens as it will be dissolved by the decalcification process, but may be seen in soft tissue specimens. As a bone implant material, it acts as a scaffold for new bone growth into the porous structure of the hydroxyapatite.
