Shafer Award
The Shafer Award is for recognition of an outstanding resident in the specialty of oral pathology, who has scored the highest on the Fellowship exam each year. An award of $1,000 is provided to the resident that is selected.

Waldron Award
The Waldron Award is for recognition of an outstanding resident that is enrolled in a graduate AAOMP residency-training program in the specialty of oral pathology. An award of $1,000 is provided to the resident that is selected. The research area of interest must be relevant to oral and maxillofacial pathology. Residents competing for this award must present their findings as a poster abstract presentation.

Gorlin Award
The Gorlin Award is for recognition of an outstanding resident that is enrolled in a graduate AAOMP residency-training program in the specialty of oral pathology. Dental Student Travel Award
The Dental Student Travel Awards are granted in recognition of the best abstract submissions, in either oral or poster format, from a pre-doctoral dental student who has conducted research in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. An award of $1,000 is provided to two dental students with the best abstracts.
